Green Class News

Years 2, 3 & 4

What a fantastic term it’s been for the Green Class! Our students have embraced every opportunity with great enthusiasm and curiosity.

This term, students participated in the Brumbies Taster Day, where they learned different rugby and teamwork skills. The Brumbies Free 'Get into Rugby' School Taster Sessions are designed to introduce students to the sport in a fun and engaging way.

Our Feel Good Friday activities have been a highlight this term, offering students a chance to unwind and engage in creative and wellbeing-focused tasks. The students have had fun getting to explore many different areas of learning with lots of hands on activities. I think cooking with Ms. Grigg has been a highlight for many!

The PBL Bike Day was a resounding success, promoting safe riding practices and the importance of physical activity. A huge thank you to Ms. Grigg for putting together the day and organising the activities. The students had a blast riding around the school! It was a little difficult to get some of the students off their bikes at the end of the day.

Just last week we attended the Game Changer Soccer Gala Day. Every term this is a highlight for the students as they get to team up with students from other schools and participate in games with an emphasis on fun, not competition.

Additionally, our students showcased their athletic talents at the Small Schools Athletics Carnival, competing in various track and field events.

In the classroom, our literary journey through Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr Fox captivated the students. They were enthralled by the cunning Mr Fox and his escapades to outwit the three nasty farmers. The story sparked lively discussions about resourcefulness and bravery. The term culminated in a viewing of the Fantastic Mr Fox movie, leading to insightful conversations about the differences between the book and its film adaptation.

The students had a lot of fun creating their own feast on a plate!

Looking ahead, the Green Class is excited for the adventures that Term 3 will bring. With more engaging activities and learning opportunities on the horizon, we can't wait to see what our students will achieve next.
