Subject Selection next Term! What Will You Create in 2026?

As we are concluding Term 2, it might be the time for you to think about your next year’s Technology electives as you will make some choices at the start of next term. Whether you're passionate about food, curious about coding, or love designing with your hands, there's something for everyone!

Year 9 Technology offers for current Year 8:

• 🍰 Make Bake Decorate – Combine creativity and cooking! Learn baking skills and how to present food like a professional.
• 💡 Systems Technology – Build, wire, and code! Work with microcontrollers, design solutions, and tinker with real hardware.
• 💻 Digital Technology – Think like a programmer! Learn how computers work, write code, and solve problems using digital tools.

Year 10 Technology offers for current Year 9:

• World Food – Discover and cook dishes from around the globe, learn knowledge from practices. 
• Food and You – Explore nutrition, sustainability, and practical cooking skills for everyday life.
• Systems Technology – More advanced projects with tools, sensors, and electronics.
•  Computing Applications – Learn about building software and games for the real world.

Year 11 VCE offers:

• Applied Computing – Great for problem solvers and future developers!

• Food Studies – Explore food science, nutrition, and culinary skills.

  Important: These courses will only run if enough students choose them, so make your preferences count!

Student Spotlight: Year 9 Systems Tech Superstars

Shout-out to Louie and Li’on from Year 9 Systems Technology! These two students created amazing games using the Raspberry Pi Pico – combining coding and electronics into interactive fun.
