Maths Association of Victoria (MAV)

On the 28th of October, groups of 4 students from each class in Year 5 and 6 participated in the Victorian Challenge and Enrichment Games Day, hosted by The Mathematical Association of Victoria.
The event began at 9am, and after a brief online introduction, everybody was ready for the contest. The competition went to 1:15 pm, and there were 7 challenges in total. Everybody in each group had to work together to complete problem-solving tasks to earn the highest score possible.
All of this was completed in strict time limits, and the students had to plan their portions efficiently and effectively. Some were skill-based games, some were luck-based, and some were straight up frustratingly challenging.
Overall, everybody enjoyed the opportunity!
