Principal's News

All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have the right to feel safe. The care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.

Good afternoon families,

I hope you are enjoying your long weekend. Congratulations to the Year 6 students for the wonderful Market Day they ran last Monday. Thank you to the teachers and the parents for the support the students were given. They raised about $2000 for their charities.

This week we have our year 4 students heading off to camp. They are going to Mill Valley in Tynong North and they get the opportunity to do some horseriding. Polly (office manager) will be away for this week so please direct any enquiriesto Nicola or Cathy in the office.

Summer uniform

All students are required to wear their full summer uniform as from Wednesday 6 November.

Yah! Frank

On Friday some Year 4 students gave Frank a thank you party. The girls over a weekend made some cupcakes and sold them out the front of their house. They made $55 and asked me if they could give Frank a party in the garden. We got some party decorations and food and the girls invited 31 students who spend their time in the garden and we celebrated Frank. Well done to these year 4 students. Frank was so touched by the girls and the party and felt very special and appreciated.

St Louis Christmas Festival - Friday 6 December - 3.30pm - 7.30pm

Traditionally this would be the year of the school production, however due to not having a musical director on staff and not having the budget that is required to put on a whole school production at Frankston Art Centre, we decided to do something different. We looked at the feedback we had from the parent community after the last production and the believe we should try a new approach. On Friday 6 December we will be celebrating all our students at our Christmas Festival. All classes will be participating in class performances and all students are expected to attend. A program will run out of the hall and a time will be given for each class and parents can come and go as they would like. When your child/ren have performed you are able to wander around the festival and/or go home. The Christmas Festival will have food vans, sausage sizzle, local craft Christmas stalls, 24 class performances, a Year 3/4 dance troupe, a Year 5/6 dance troupe and two flash mob dance groups, staff band, staff Christmas item and busker items in the garden from students who have an item they would like to perform. Families can bring a picnic and sit on the oval and watch the festival as another option. Classroom teachers may be asking for costumes (eg- reindeer ears, white teeshirt, black shorts etc) to be supplied and we will let you know asap.

Please put this date in your diary.

Kind regards

Carmel Stutterd
