Congratulations to our Pom team, GPS Glamour, on their amazing performance and 1st Place at Aussie Gold Nationals on the weekend! A fabulous way to wrap up a busy week of performances, great work girls!

Boys and Girls Soccer Carnival

During week 5 last term, a group of year 5 and 6 students participated in the Boys and Girls Soccer Carnival, which took place at Munno Para Soccer Club. We had a great day playing as a team, showing good sportspersonship and learning about different soccer positions. 

We felt challenged by the competition from other schools but were honoured to have had the opportunity to participate. We learnt to play as a team and developed our soccer skills. We would like to thank Mrs Michael and Miss Luana for coaching us and Natalie Polvari for volunteering to assist us on the day.

Girl's Cricket

On Friday the 25th of October, the GPS Girls Cricket team played a cricket match at Greenwith Oval against the Nuriootpa Girls Cricket team. 

We first won the toss and elected to bat, and we all batted really well, only losing two unlucky wickets. We then bowled really well, bowling a few more wides and no balls than we wanted, but we still did well. Each of our girls got to bat and bowl, with 3 girls scoring over 20 runs. The final score was 2-178 to 6-36 which was a good win for us. We all had fun throughout the day, and winning the match topped it all off.  We are all so excited to be in the semi-finals. 

I would like to thank Mr Smith and Brayden for coaching, and the Nuriootpa Girls Cricket team and their coach for a good match. Good job to our cricket team, and let's hope we can win the knockout competition!
