This week in Reading, we are learning about the importance of asking questions while reading.

VOCABULARY

Importance: Importance is how valuable or necessary something is to the text.

Questions: Questioning is when you ask questions to learn more or understand something better.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Have your child choose a short story or book and read a few pages. As they read with you, get them to ask questions about the text using the thinking stems.
