What an incredible turnout from our St. Fidelis Families for our celebration on Friday, October 11th, for the Resilience Project GEM Day!
A huge thank you to all families who attended and made the effort to support this GEM Day.
This day revolved around the concepts of Gratitude, Empathy and Mindfulness. (GEM).
The day started with an assembly led by 5/6OS. What a great job they did.
Congratulations to the GEM-tastic award winners.
After assembly, the students completed a GEM activity with our families, making a gratitude leaf to place on our GEM tree in the hall. Some teachers had a mini TRP lesson or read a book about GEM qualities to showcase the great learning happening in the classrooms.
Throughout the day, our students engaged in cross-age collaborative activities: meditation, yoga, a glitter jar activity, spiritual mandala colouring, an Inside Out 2 activity, a GEM mascot-making activity, and afternoon sports activities.
This successful whole-school event would not have happened without the dedication of our teachers, staff, and the TRP GEM Team!
Thank you to everyone who spent considerable time planning and organising this event.
We look forward to many more fantastic GEM Days in the future.
