Congratulations to our Year 3 students on making their First Reconciliation on Wednesday night. Fr Samuel, Fr Greg, Fr Tran and Fr Barry guided the students throughout the service and during the individual reconciliation. This sacrament marks a meaningful step in their faith, as they learn about forgiveness, self-reflection, and the importance of making amends. Through reconciliation, our students deepen their relationship with God and with each other, embracing the values of kindness and understanding. Well done to all involved in this beautiful celebration of growth and faith!
Heavenly Father,
We thank you for guiding our students as they made their First Reconciliation.
May they feel Your love and forgiveness in their hearts and continue to grow in faith, kindness, and peace.
Bless them with the courage to follow Your path and share Your love with others.
Amen.
The Mary MacKillop Leaders are excited to share the success of today’s Catholic Mission fundraiser! Thanks to the wonderful support of our students, who came dressed in crazy socks, brought in a gold coin donation, and participated enthusiastically in our soccer shoot-out, we raised a total of $229.70.
This contribution will go directly to supporting Catholic Mission initiatives.
Thank you for your support in helping our children make a difference!
Our Year 3 students had an unforgettable time at their first-ever camp at Don Bosco Camp in Safety Beach, spending two days and one night immersed in fun activities and new experiences. They returned with great memories, new friendships, and a boost in confidence from this exciting adventure!
Clara and Hana from Year 3 share their experience...
"Last week the Year 3 students went to camp at Don Bosco. On the bus trip we played some fun games and we talked with our friends. When we arrived we all got our bags and unpacked our things int he cabins. When we first saw the camp, it looked amazing. Then we did some activities with George and Jo, the camp leaders. We had free time to explore the whole camp - we found a games room, a gymnasium with basketball courts, a studio with a piano and a gaga pit. The food was really good - we had spaghetti bolognese with garlic , salad and fries.
That night we roasted marshmallows by the campfire. Will toasted a marshmallow and when he took it away from the fire, the marshmallow had its own little fire!! After that we had to go to our cabins to get ready for bed. We were chatting so much and telling spooky stories that we couldn't get to sleep! Sue and Erin said its "lights out and time for sleep!"
We woke up very early at 5am and we all went to Lola's and Clara's bed and told more stories! We had breakfast at 8am int he dining hall. We had a choice of toast or cereal. After breakfast we had to clear the tables and dishes. We got dressed and ready for activities. One of the activities we played was 'Spin the Wheel'. For lunch we had burgers, fruit and a chocolate. Then it was time to pack and go home!
Going to the beach on the first day was our favourite part. We played activities on the beach and we went swimming. The water was very, very cold - freezing! Rebecca, Zoe, Maja, Ainsley, Lila, Eliza and me would swim to the sand every time a big wave came. Whoever got to the sand first was the winner!
It was really fun.

Our Year 6 students had an incredible three-day, two-night adventure at Camp Campaspe in Tylden, filled with challenges, teamwork, and plenty of outdoor fun. They returned with new skills, lasting memories, and a strengthened sense of friendship and resilience!
We are excited to share that our Sacred Heart and St. Margaret Mary’s Year 6 students have been accepted to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in 2025, a Jubilee Year. Next year is a special time of grace and conversion marked by prayer, pilgrimage, and sacramental repentance.
After thoughtful consideration and positive feedback from parents, who expressed a desire to have Confirmation at the cathedral, we have chosen this sacred space to honour the significance of the Jubilee Year together in the heart of our diocese.
Confirmation will be held on Friday, 9th May 2025, at 6:30 pm at St. Patrick's Cathedral, 1 Cathedral Pl, East Melbourne. We encourage our current Year 5 families to mark this important date in your diaries!
Have a great long weekend everyone!
