Upcoming Important Dates and Information
Term 4
Monday 11th December
- Year 4 Wild Action Animals Incursion.
Wild Action will be bringing some amazing animals to DCC on the 11th December, for our year 4 celebration.
They will be running 5 sessions throughout the day and the grade 4 students will get to see and learn about some endangered animals up close and personal.
Tuesday 12th December
- Yr 6 to Yr 7 Statewide Transition Day
Statewide Transtion Day happens across all Victorian Public schools, where all students going into secondary school go to their new school for the day to learn with their new peers and teachers. Students will get to experience some of the great facilities at Dohertys Creek College has to offer. Students to attend wearing casual clothes.
Wednesday 13th December
- 2024 Prep Teddy Bear Picnic
We invite your child and yourself to attend a teddy bear picnic on Wednesday the 13th of December.
The Picnic will be held on Wirrigirri Oval (the playground next to the admin building, under the shade cloth) from 12:00 to 12:30. Your child can bring a lunchbox, a hat, and a water bottle. We ask that you come through the gate at Wirrigirri Oval, which is located at the back of the school near the back of the gym. When you arrive there will be cones labelled with group numbers.
At 12:30 your child will then go to their 2024 classroom with their peers and their classroom teacher if they are available for this day and time. Students will be given a note which outlines who their classroom teacher is and their classroom location for 2024. Parents will be asked to wait offsite during this time.
At 1:30 students will be brought back to the Wirrigirri Oval to their allocated cones and parents will be required to pick their child up from the teacher.
Thursday 14th December
- Celebration of learning for Year 2 at 2.30- 3.00pm
Friday 15th December
- Celebration of learning for Year 5, 7 & 8 at 2.30- 3.00pm
Monday 18th December
- Celebration of learning for Year 3 at 2.30- 3.00pm
Wednesday 20th December
- End of Year Reports
Reports are currently being completed and they will be available on Wednesday 20th December.
