Message From Our Principal

Mrs Jackie Stockdale

As we approach the end of November, I am amazed at how swiftly the last two weeks have passed. It is hard to believe that December is just around the corner, signalling the final stretch of the school year. With only 3.5 weeks remaining, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the recent activities and accomplishments within our school community.

The past two weeks have been a whirlwind of events and initiatives that highlight the dedication and hard work of our students, staff, and parents. From academic achievements to extracurricular successes, our school has been buzzing with positive energy and a sense of accomplishment.

Let's finish the year strong, supporting each other and celebrating the incredible journey we have had together. Thank you for your continued dedication to the success of our students and our school community.

I am thrilled to share some wonderful news within our school family. One of our own, Teresa, has recently embraced the joyous role of grandmother (known as Nan) as her daughter welcomed a beautiful baby boy into the world.

On the 17th of November, the newest addition to Teresa's family, Thomas, made his debut, bringing immense happiness and love to their lives. This precious moment is undoubtedly a cause for celebration.

As a school community, we extend our warmest congratulations to Teresa on this special occasion. Becoming a grandmother is a momentous and heartwarming milestone, and we join her in celebrating the arrival of baby Thomas. May this new chapter be filled with endless joy, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

Our current fundraising effort (Gingerbread House Workshop) is raising money for an item at the top of our students 'wish list'- a Gaga Pit! All of our fundraising efforts this year have got us closer to this wish becoming a reality.

The land was  prepared for the new portables and they arrived on Monday and Tuesday. Work will now continue on these buildings until the end of December. Hopefully the timeline is adhered to and they will be ready to be used at the beginning of the school year.

The Tongala Hay Bale Trail is underway. We can’t wait to paint our bales next week- watch this space to see our amazing design!!

A big thanks to the Brennan family for donating our bales.

All of our school community were excited to celebrate Harley Reid’s major accomplishment in the AFL Draft. It is an achievement that has really inspired our students. Congratulations Harley!!

Grade 6 Graduation this year will look a little different than it has in the past. On Tuesday the 12th of December, at 6pm, Grade 6 students and their families will be invited to a Graduation Dinner. The location of dinner is Hurley's Hotel, Kyabram. During this dinner the graduating students will present their individual slideshows.

On Thursday 14th of December, at 1pm, we will have our Grade 6 Award Presentation followed by our End Of Year Mass (at 2pm) which will  conclude with the Grade 6 guard of honour, as they leave their last St Pat’s formal celebration.

Sun Protection

Our students have been doing a super job wearing their school hats when they are outside. At St Patrick’s students are expected to wear a hat during all outdoor activities during Term 4 and Term 1 in accordance with the school's Sun Protection Policy. Children will remain under the verandah if they are not wearing their hat during break times.
