End of School Year

The end of the school term and year is getting closer and soon everyone will get a well-deserved break! Now is a great time to reflect back on the things you have completed and achieved throughout the year! These don’t have to be massive standout achievements they can just be: you finally finished a book you were reading, you made a new friend, you spent more time on self-care for yourself or it could be that you just made it through the year. Whatever it was be proud of how far you have come since the first day of 2023! You may also discover some things that have gone so well or that you might want to change. The holidays will give you some time out to relax and reset, ready to come back next year focused and ready for the new year ahead. It may also give you some time to make a plan for what you want to focus your energy on, the things that bring you joy and are good for your soul. These are the things that give our lives meaning and purpose and help us to pull through the rough patches. Here is a small list of ideas but :

  • Spending more time on self-care              - Getting outside more
  • Baking                                                            - Finding a hobby you enjoy
  • Riding a bike/scooter/skateboard etc     - Spending more time with friends
  • Yoga/Pilates/Meditation                             - Listening to music/podcasts
  • Spending time with family                           - Creating a new bedtime ritual
  • Reading a book/magazine                        - Going for a walk/run
  • Watching Netflix and relaxing                    - Drinking more water
  • Painting/craft/drawing                                - Starting a sport
  • Completing a puzzle                                    - Collecting things

We want to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday from all of us in the Wellbeing Team.

  • Merbein P-10 College main office and primary office
  • Ritchies Supermarket Merbein
  • Bendigo Bank Merbein

Register your interest to receive a hamper:

If you feel like you would benefit from receiving a hamper please register your interest by emailing: Tamara.walker@education.vic.gov.au or caral.piscitelli@education.vic.gov.au or calling the office on 50252501.
