As the year quickly comes to a close, it is essential that we maintain focus and commitment to finishing off our learning tasks appropriately. We encourage students to seek feedback from staff and reflect on the positives and areas for growth. Interim reports have been published on Compass, and we kindly ask students and parents to take the time to review these reports.

In regard to booklists, they have been sent out from the general office. If there are any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to the general office for assistance.

For our Year 9 students, exciting opportunities await as they gear up to participate in work-experience at the end of the year. Additionally, some students will have the chance to embark on a memorable Surf Camp experience.

The Year 12 exams have concluded, marking a significant milestone for our graduating students. We eagerly look forward to celebrating their achievements at our Whole School Awards night and Year 12 graduation, which will take place on the 13th of December 2023 at the Mildura Arts Centre.

I am delighted to inform you that I recently had the pleasure of having lunch with our 2024 School Captains and School Leaders. I am confident in saying that we are in very good hands with these young leaders who will guide our school in the future. We should all be immensely proud of the following students who have been selected to lead our school next year:

College Captains:                    Molly Gleeson & Regan Peters

Resilience Ambassador:       Kira Harkin

Compassion Ambassador:   Lucy Sharp

Success Ambassador:           Clare Saunders & Luka Baudewyns

Citizenship Ambassador:     Nguyen Nguyen

Inclusion Ambassador:         Lauren Clifford

First Nation Ambassador:    Jamaine Lawson-Chapman

Jen Chatfield our Junior Sub-School leader has been actively involved in coordinating activities and events that aim to ease the transition process for our young students. With her guidance, we have witnessed a pleasing increase in the number of year 7 enrolments for 2024. This positive outcome is a testament to her commitment to ensuring that every student feels welcome and supported as they embark on their secondary school journey.

The come and try days organized by Jen Chatfield have proven to be highly beneficial for the students, providing them with an opportunity to familiarize themselves with our school environment, meet their future classmates, and engage in various activities to build confidence and social connections. We believe these events have played a vital role in alleviating any anxieties associated with the transition from primary to secondary school.

Jen Chatfield's exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail have been instrumental in the success of these events. By involving our feeder primary schools, she has fostered stronger partnerships and collaboration between our institutions, which ultimately benefits the students and their families. We are grateful for her efforts in ensuring a seamless transition for our new year 7 students.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us. Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership in your child's education.

Have a wonderful weekend,
