Would your child enjoy learning to play recorder?
Enrolment applications for the HPS Instrumental Recorder Program are continuing to come in. In 2024 instrumental recorder lessons will again be offered during school hours at HPS with Fiona Walters. The recorder program aims to help parents provide their children (grades 1–6) with an opportunity to learn a musical instrument within Heidelberg Primary School’s thriving musical community. Students are encouraged to develop a wide range of skills and knowledge including reading and playing music notation, recorder technique and music appreciation as well as successful habits of learning – through the study of music, students can develop the habits of life-long learning and build self-confidence as they practise risk-taking and gain resilience.
Information and enrolment application forms have been emailed to current recorder families. Thank you to those who have already returned completed forms for their children!
Re-enrolments: Current students, if you would like to continue recorder in 2024, please complete a form and return it direct to fionawalters@ioville.net as soon as you can. Thank you.
…and NEW enrolments: If you may be interested in beginning recorder lessons in 2024, please see the information with the 2024 enrolment application form on Compass (>Community >School Documentation) or the School website or email fionawalters@ioville.net.
Please return your enrolment application by 12.12.23 so we can try to ensure we will have enough places available next year to accommodate all who wish to learn.
Thank you, happy music making and best wishes for a harmonious holiday season!

Lunch Orders
Miss Peppercorn lunch order service has been closed permanently.
We were informed that our weekly lunch order service run by Miss Peppercorn has been closed permanently. This is disappointing but completely beyond our control, and we are now researching an alternative provider for 2024.
For families who are concerned with balances or credit notes remaining in their Flexischools accounts (the payment platform used by Miss Peppercorn), we will keep you advised. Flexischools have advised that they will honour your account balances. Our plan is that the new provider will be using Flexischools. This will allow balances to remain for future use, otherwise full refunds will be provided. We will post further updates when available, and apologise for any inconvenience.
Uniform update
Please be advised that our uniform provider has moved to Mill Park.
