“On Tuesday we went to the fossil caves and the Alexandra Cave to see the fossils. Did you know that the water dried up and then it made the straws. In thousands of years the straws grew into stalactites.”

We had a great day.”

Then we jumped on the bus for about two minutes and then Georgia met us again and showed us around another cave. We then watched two videos. For lunch we had Macca’s.”

Then we went down the Alexandra Cave and we looked at the different types of crystal and stalactites. We saw some slippery water and some more water. Then we got back on the bus and we went to the Fossil Cave. When we got to the Fossil cave we started walking down into the cave and saw more stalactites and fossils. I had a great day.”

2/3/4 Library Visit
The year 2/3/4 class enjoyed a visit to the library earlier this Term. It has been wonderful to get out into the community and check out all the great places to see in Edenhope, including our beautiful lake. Students have enjoyed visiting the town Library to borrow books, read and play with the Lego.
Well done to their great behavior and doing a great job representing our school.

Fractured Fairytales
Today the Year 7 girls and Chloe from Year 9 came and read the stories to the F/1 class that they wrote.
Then they stayed to help us make Reindeer Cookies.
This week we have been learning about procedures. With the help of some older students we made Reindeer Cookies. The students from the F/1 class said the best part of the procedure was eating them!!!!

Kindergarten Transition
Our theme for Transition last week was Dinosaurs. The F/1 classroom was a very scary place to be last week with dinosaurs of all shapes and colours roaming about. The students made their very own dinosaur eggs.
