Netbooks

It has come to our attention that there are quite a few students who are downloading apps and other features (such as custom cursors) onto their netbooks. This often results in unwanted programs and potential risks for viruses. Please remind students that it goes against our ICT user agreement to download anything without teacher permission - thankyou for your assistance with this!

Cross Country

Cross Country is scheduled for Monday, 25th March (Week 9) from 11:30am - 1:30pm. If you are happy for your child/ren to attend, please make sure that you have provided permission for them on Compass or contact your child's teacher if you are unable to do so. You are more than welcome to join us at the Spring Gully Soccer Fields on Monday!

Mobile Phones

We are aware that some students are required to bring a mobile phone to school. Please refer to Mr Parkes' section of the newsletter today for important information about updates to the Mobile Phone policy.

Marble Run

Students have been having a wonderful time designing and making their marble runs. Thankyou so much to everyone for sending along materials for this fun STEAM activity!

Learning in Weeks 1 & 2

Mathematics: In Applied Maths, we will be exploring a variety of topics including Data, Location and Probability in connection with our new Topic unit (see below). Students will also explore Multiplication and Division during our Fluid Group sessions.

Writing & Reading: In Writing, students will be exploring Persuasive texts. They will need to decide if they agree or disagree with certain topics and will learn how to use evidence and examples to back up their arguments. In Reading, we will be reading and answering questions all about planet Earth!

Topic: During Term 2, students will begin a new unit called 'The Blue Marble'. In this unit we will explore planet Earth and how living things rely on each other and the environment in order to survive.
