LEARNING CONVERSATIONS

Earlier this week you should have received a notice and booking form for our upcoming Learning Conversations in Week 10 (Tuesday April 2nd – Friday 5th April). This is an invitation to a face-to-face conversation with your child's teacher to discuss your child's learning and the beginning of the school year. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to engage in your child’s academic, social and emotional development.

Please return the booking form promptly and nominate three times of your choosing (1st, 2nd, 3rd preference).  Teachers will do their best to give you your preferred time, but if this is not possible, you may have to be slotted in when another time is available.  Please return the form to your child’s class teacher by Wednesday 27th  March 2024.

On the day of your conversation, we ask that the discussion time be kept to 15 minutes so that others are not kept waiting. If you feel this is not long enough, please make another appointment for a mutually convenient time.

I look forward to seeing all the visiting families in our community.

NAPLAN and PAT

All NAPLAN tests for Year 3 and Year 5 students should now be complete. Thank you to all the families for their support and encouragement of their child which helped prepare our students for their tests.

If your Year 3 or Year 5 child did not complete NAPLAN, then over the next few weeks, they will complete a PAT (Progression Achievement Testing) assessment on Reading and Mathematics. Teachers will use the data obtained from PAT and NAPLAN to inform their teaching and learning.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding NAPLAN, PAT and standardised assessments, then please feel free to chat with me.

Yours in Love, Peace and Learning,

Jason Puttnins
