It's with great pride and excitement that we congratulate our Year 3 and Year 5 students for successfully completing their NAPLAN assessments. The dedication and hard work demonstrated by our students throughout this process has been commendable, and we are incredibly proud of their efforts.

NAPLAN, the National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy, is an important milestone in our students' educational journey. It provides valuable insights into their literacy and numeracy skills and helps identify areas of strength and areas for further development. By participating in NAPLAN, our students have not only showcased their abilities but also contributed to a broader understanding of educational outcomes across the nation.

As we celebrate the completion of the NAPLAN assessments, it's essential to recognise that these results are just one part of our students' educational experience. While they provide valuable feedback, they do not define our students' worth or potential. Every child has unique talents, interests and strengths that contribute to their overall growth and development.

Moving forward, let's continue to support and encourage our students as they embark on their learning journey. Together, as a community, we can foster a love for learning, resilience, and a growth mindset that will empower our students to reach their full potential.

Once again, congratulations to our Year 3 and Year 5 students on completing their NAPLAN assessments. Your hard work, determination and perseverance are truly commendable, and we are excited to see what the future holds for each and every one of you.

Student reflection on NAPLAN

Kayva and Nisha, our SVAT leaders, presented the following message to our Year 3 & 5 students this week at assembly:

We wanted to give a big shout out to our awesome Year 3 and Year 5 students!

Over the last two weeks our Year 3 and Year 5 students have been completing NAPLAN testing. These are tests that every Year 3, 5, 7 & 9 students complete all over Australia. They have completed Writing, Reading, Language Conventions and Numeracy.

All students tackled these NAPLAN tests like champions, and the school couldn't be prouder of you. Seriously, let’s give them a round of applause. I know these tests were not easy, but you showed up, gave it your all, and rocked it! Your hard work, dedication and perseverance paid off big time.

But hey, let’s not forget, life is way more than just test scores, right? It is about being kind, caring, and making a positive impact wherever you go. And you lot, you’re already acting like part of the game.

So, here’s to you, amazing Year 3 and 5 students! Keep shining bright, keep being awesome and keep making the school proud. Congratulations on smashing those NAPLAN tests and here’s to all the incredible things you do.
