The Kid and Worry Workshop
Dear community,
I too am a parent, a mother and even a grandmother. I get just how hard it is to raise a family and take it from me, the worry never goes away, no matter how old your children are.
However, I particularly feel for our students. Our kids have been through some challenging times over the last few years. In some cases this has hugely impacted levels of worry and anxiety. We are hearing about it from you and seeing it in action. It breaks our hearts, as we too want all our students to be happy, healthy and resilient.
So we have decided to be proactive and offer a variety of opportunities this year to learn from the experts. Starting Term 2, Week 2, Monday the 22nd April at 5.00-6.30 pm. This will be an informative parent presentation for free. It is titled The Kids and Worry Workshop, presented by Kim O’Neill Catholic Care.
During this workshop we will look at:
- The difference between worry and anxiety.
- Common worries kid’s experience.
- Where do worries come from?
- When is further help needed?
- Strategies to help kids cope with worries.
Please RSVP to the office your attendance by Thursday 18th April.
This is really something you do not want to miss out on and know that our staff will be doing the same professional learning to ensure that we are all on the same page.
Thanks for your smiles and support.
