From the Prin and the AP

This term we’ve updated our School Wide Positive Behaviour Support expectations matrix. The matrix is the first element of SWPBS and sits at the heart of the whole framework. It sets out, in plain language, what Respect, Safety and Learning looks like in different parts of the school. Clear expectations give students a shared roadmap for how to behave, help teachers use consistent language, and support calmer interactions across the day.
Our old matrix has been in place for several years and needed a refresh to match current practice and the way our students engage with school life. The new version is simpler, more student friendly and better reflects the positive interactions we want to build. It names the behaviours we want to see and makes it easier for staff to teach, model and acknowledge them.
You’ll find the updated matrix below. Please take a moment to look through it with your child. Talking together about what Respect, Safety and Learning looks like at school and at home helps reinforce our shared expectations and supports every student to be successful.
