Junior School

Presentation Night
Last Friday, 28 November, we held our annual Junior School Presentation Night. Parents and special guests were treated to an evening of exceptional performances from our choirs, instrumental ensembles, and BIG. It was also a special occasion to honour outstanding students through the Christian Leadership Awards, Endeavour Awards, and Year 6 Subject Awards.
The night was a true celebration of what was an exciting and successful year for Trinity College Junior School. We also proudly introduced our 2026 Prefect Body to the Junior School community. Congratulations to our 12 newly elected prefects, including Deputy Head Prefect Jack Nelson and Head Prefect Zane Casson. We are confident they will lead to humility, integrity, and service.

Final Assembly
We came together as a Junior School for our final assembly on Wednesday. The assembly was an opportunity to recognize many boys' achievements, through a number of different awards and certificates to recognize a variety of students who have excelled in their fields of expertise. It was also our final TOBA Award for 2025, which was awarded to Loui Parkyn from Year 6 White.
Year 6 Graduation
Today marked a special day on the school calendar for our Year 6 cohort. They arrived to school with their parents and celebrated a beautiful Graduation Mass in the College Chapel. It was a chance to reflect on each boy’s time in Junior School, celebrate their achievements and express gratitude to their parents and teachers for their assistance along the way. Each student received their graduation certificate and graduation photo.
After mass the students and parents headed upstairs to Gibney Hall for sit-down lunch. Ryan Tindall, 2026 College Deputy Head Prefect, address the boys and welcomed them into the Senior School.
All this planning, decorating, serving and cleaning was provided by Year 5 parent volunteers. A huge thanks goes to each one of them for ensuring the Year 6’s had a wonderful celebration to finish their Junior School journey.
9News Perth Visit Trinity College
We were fortunate to welcome 9News Perth to our school as part of their Junior Weather Watch campaign, led by Scherri-Lee Biggs. This program is designed to spark students’ interest in meteorology and climate awareness through a hands-on weather and reporting experience.
The 9News team arrived with their broadcast van and engaged with our Year 5 students, who had the exciting opportunity to take part in the filming. As part of the program, the school has also been provided with a digital weather station, and our students will be sending in daily weather data to be broadcast each night this week.
Their segment was featured on the 4:00pm news with Monika Kos and again at 6:00pm with Michael Thomson.
A wonderful experience for our budding young reporters!
Thank you
As shared at Presentation Night, we are truly grateful for the support and partnership of every family in our Junior School. It is a privilege to walk alongside each boy, guiding and encouraging them to grow into the best version of themselves, young men who live as Men for Others.
We wish all our families a joyful, safe, and holy Christmas. May this season bring peace and happiness to your homes. We look forward to welcoming you back in 2026 for another exciting year of learning and growth.
God Bless,
Mr James McPherson
Head of Junior School
