K-2 Presentation Day

It was wonderful to celebrate the incredible achievements of our K-2 students at this year’s Presentation Day. Congratulations to all award recipients for their hard work, creativity, and growth throughout the year. The event also featured memorable performances from our Stage 1 Chinese Dance, Stage 1 Dance and Stage 1 Choir. Thank you to our families for coming together and honouring our youngest learners’ successes.

Social Media Age Restrictions Hub

To help families navigate the evolving social media age restrictions, we encourage you to explore the valuable resources available on the eSafety website (embedded in the image below). This site offers comprehensive information to help you and your child understand and manage these important changes.

Some quick facts unpacked on the website include:

  • As of 10 December 2025, Facebook, Instagram, Kick, Reddit, Snapchat, Threads, TikTok, Twitch, X and YouTube are required to take reasonable steps to prevent Australians under 16 from having accounts on their platforms. See the latest list.
  • Under-16s are still allowed to see publicly available social media content that doesn’t require logging into an account.
  • Most standalone gaming and messaging apps, as well as many services that support health and education, are not affected by the new law.
  • There are no penalties for under-16s who access an account on an age-restricted social media platform, or for their parents or carers. This is about making the platforms take greater responsibility for the safety of children – they face penalties of up to $49.5 million if they don’t take reasonable steps to implement the changes.

We encourage families to make use of these resources to help ensure safer online experiences for our children.

Year 6 Fun Day

Year 6's Fun Day on Thursday was filled with laughter, team-spirit and water fights. The day consisted of a variety of activities hosted by Motiv8 with not a single student (or teacher) going home dry.

A highlight was the sponge wars challenge where students had to try to knock down their opposing team's cones with wet sponges (while the teachers sneakily sprayed all players with water foam cannons).

Congratulations to the winning team 'We're Doomed', who consisted of Chinta, Soraya, Elli, Olivia, Charlotte and Lily from Eclipse 2!
