New PSSA jerseys in 2026

We’re excited to share the design for our new PSSA jerseys, which will be introduced next year. At the moment, we don’t have a dedicated representative uniform, and this new addition will give our students something to strive for and wear with pride when representing Chatswood Public School.

A big thank you to our P&C for generously funding the purchase of the jerseys. Students selected for PSSA teams will wear them during competitions, and they’ll also be proudly worn at zone carnivals and other representative events. We look forward to seeing our students represent the school with energy and pride in the new CPS colours.

Social Media Age restrictions

From 10 December 2025, many social media platforms will be required to prevent Australians under 16 from creating or maintaining accounts on certain age-restricted services. The changes aim to protect children from pressures and risks they can be exposed to while logged in to social media accounts.

The eSafety Commissioner is leading the implementation of the law. They are responsible for identifying platforms and supporting the community with information and resources.

Under-16s will still be able to see publicly available social media content that doesn’t require logging into an account. There are no penalties for young people who use age-restricted platforms or for their parents and carers as the responsibility is with the platforms.

We encourage you to access eSafety’s resources and support for families on their website and register for one of the upcoming webinars for parents and carers.

Thank You Morning Tea

It was wonderful to join the community thank you morning tea yesterday. The event, hosted by our staff, was a small gesture of appreciation for everything our families have contributed throughout the year. Whether through the P&C, helping at carnivals, supporting scripture and ethics, or volunteering in other ways, your time and energy make a real difference in the life of our school.

Thank you for being such an important part of our community and for the many ways you support our students, staff and school.

Students Not Returning or returning late to School in 2026

In preparation for 2026 and to assist with class planning, if you know your child will not

be returning to Chatswood Public School next year, please complete the CPS Leaving Letter and return to the school office chatswood-p.school@det.nsw.edu.au

Kindly note there is no need for Year 6 students to complete the leavers form unless they are leaving before the end of Term 4.

If your family is planning to return to school later than the start of Term 1 in 2026, it’s important that you complete a leave form and submit it to the school office. This ensures we can hold your child’s place and plan appropriately for classes and staffing. Thank you for your cooperation.
