With Junior School Speech Day, the Christmas Service, Old Fashioned Sports Day and a visit from the Victorian Governor for the Opening of the Wilma Hearn Arena last week, we have concluded the year in the same style as we have approached it throughout – with fullness, joy, and gratitude for all that is wonderful about our school. Congratulations to all students across the College who have finished so well over the last two weeks. Students have been engaged and focused on their classes, and have carried out their end-of-year activities in a positive spirit of community and celebration.

Exceptional Year 12 Results for the Class of 2025

I extend my fullest congratulations to students of our graduating Class of 2025 who have received outstanding VCE results today. The Dux of The Hamilton and Alexandra College for 2025 is College Captain Sophie Merrin, who received an ATAR of 97.9. Proxime Accessit is Annabel O’Toole, who earned an ATAR of 97.35. The College has five scholars this year, 8% of the cohort, with ATARs over 95.00, placing them in the top 5% of students nationally. An extraordinary 19% of students received an ATAR over 90.00.

The entire class of 2025 should be proud of their efforts, as we are of them. They have lifted the bar again this year and set a high mark and challenge for the Class of 2026 to meet.

It has been another successful and tremendously full year at our school, and we all should look back proudly on the involvement, effort and achievements of College students in 2025. I wish all students and families a joyous and restful summer break.
