School Advisory Council

SCHOOL ADVISORY COUNCIL:
New SAC Members Needed!
If you are interested in being more involved with your child's school but can't get to day time events then please consider becoming a member of the School Advisory Council.
The group meets 6 - 7 times in the year on a Tuesday evening from 7.30 - 9.00 pm. The purpose of the group as determined by the MACS board, supports the overall governance of MACS schools as it ‘is to give consideration to, and advice on, important school matters in order to support the principal and the strategic interest of the school’ (Working Together in Mission p. 18). The School Advisory Council provides a forum for discussion and discernment, where parent voice and community perspective are available to inform and support the decisions made by the principal and parish priest as the custodian of mission for the good of school and parish where students’ wellbeing and outcomes are paramount.
If you are interested in becoming a member of the SAC please email Frances on principal@smdingley.catholic.edu.au and I will send you an information pack outlining the roles and responsibilities of the SAC team.
