Senior School Report
Ms Kristina Vasilakis
It is my pleasure to introduce myself as the new Director of Learning - Senior School from 2026. I am honoured to be taking over this role from Mr Denholm Pickering, and I look forward to working closely with our students, families, and staff as we guide our young people through the final stage of their high-school journey.
Senior School is a time where students discover their interests, refine their skills and take confident steps toward their future pathways. Our team is committed to ensuring every student feels supported, challenged and equipped for success.
2026 Senior School Team:
We are excited to welcome the new Year 11 cohort into Senior School and have been impressed by the positive attitude and maturity shown by our incoming Year 12 students during Headstart. This period allowed students to begin their 2026 classes, understand expectations, and participate in their first iCreate Study Space, where they were guided through effective study habits and set goals for the summer break. We encourage students to go beyond completing homework by actively consolidating their learning through study tools such as cue cards, mind maps, and platforms like Quizlet. With VCE being a fast-paced program, strong study routines established early are essential.
In early 2026, our Year 12 students will participate in a two-day Start-of-Year Program focusing on wellbeing, nutrition, pathways, and study skills. They will also visit tertiary institutions, including RMIT and ACU to support their post-school planning. Our Year 11 students will begin the year in their regular classes to build strong routines, followed by a wellbeing-focused Team Building Day in Week 4, which includes a guest speaker and the 1000 Steps Challenge.
We look forward to welcoming all our Senior School students back in 2026 and working in partnership with families to ensure the year is purposeful, engaging, and successful for every young person.
Warm regards,
Ms Kristina Vasilakis
