Dear Westall Secondary College Community,
As another year draws to a close, we have much to celebrate and be proud of. Westall Secondary College has once again been recognised as a high-performing school—clear validation that the day-to-day work of our teachers and support staff is making a measurable impact on student learning and wellbeing. Congratulations, and thank you to every one of you for your contribution to this outstanding result.
Our Westall Way framework continues to drive our approach to teaching, learning, and wellbeing. This structure represents best practice and has been strongly affirmed through the Department of Education’s Framework for Improving Student Outcomes (FISO 2.0).
For our classroom teachers and Education Support staff, the ongoing focus remains on consistency of application—both in and out of the classroom—aligning our daily practice with whole-school goals and key improvement strategies. This work will be more important than ever in 2026 as we enter a period of school review and begin shaping a new strategic plan to guide the years ahead.
To our dedicated teachers and support staff: thank you. Your passion for education, your care for our students, and your commitment to continuous improvement are what make Westall the exceptional school it is.
On an individual level, students will receive their Semester 2 reports before the holiday break. I encourage you to read these carefully with your parents and carers. Celebrate your achievements, reflect on your growth, and set clear goals for 2025 so you continue to challenge yourselves to be your best.
I am also delighted to acknowledge the achievements of our Year 12 students, who have produced an outstanding set of VCE results. Some of our key highlights include:
9% of students achieving an ATAR of 90+
25% of students achieving an ATAR of 70+
14 study scores of 40+
Our 2024 Dux of the College, Rin Prum Monkol, with an exceptional ATAR of 98.65 – a remarkable achievement and a wonderful reflection of his dedication and hard work.

As we close out another remarkable year, I want to express my deepest appreciation for the professionalism, care, and commitment each staff member brings to our school community. This year has been filled with collaboration, innovation, and growth. Whether through the introduction of new programs such as our revamped Aim High program, the strengthening of instructional practice via our PLCs, or the countless positive moments we create with students each day.
As we head into the final week of term, I encourage everyone—staff and students alike—to take a moment to reflect on what we have achieved together. There is so much to be proud of, both in our visible accomplishments and in the quieter successes that form the fabric of daily school life.
Thank you once again for your dedication, your optimism, and the strength of character you bring to Westall each day. I hope the upcoming break gives you the chance to rest, recharge, and enjoy time with family and friends.
Wishing you all a safe, joyful, and relaxing summer holiday. I look forward to welcoming you back in 2026 for another successful and exciting year.
