Our 2026 Swimming Carnival was a great day with so much fun, frivolity and some swimming races!
Congratulations to all participants for embracing the challenge and to all who helped to create a wonderful environment!

The Year 10 Outdoor & Environmental Studies class has kicked off 2026 with a bang!
Students have been exploring waves, wind and the sustainable uses of seaweed during theory lessons. This learning was then brought to lift in our practical classes, where students learnt about the history of Pope's Eye and got up close wit the bachelor seals and the impressive Australian gannet birds.
Students also raced against the clock to unlock themselves from an escape room at Deep Creek, where they worked collaboratively to read clues and use fallen natural materials to build a range of structures.

What a wonderful first assembly for the year! We celebrated our outstanding swimming carnival which was held last week with record numbers of participation.
Speaking of records, we acknowledged Taylah L and Eddie M for breaking records on the day, and Jack H for an astonishing four record breaking feats. Wow! Our age group champions were congratulated and Bells took out the top spot on the day.
Bells have continued their success into the classroom with the most Positive Behaviour Tokens earned for the year so far. They're off to a flying start and setting the bar high!

During the school holidays, our College Captain team - Hunter, Finlay, Taitum, Sienna - attended the three-day YLead Student Leadership Conference at the University of Melbourne. Throughout the conference, they developed valuable leadership skills, including public speaking, responsibility, and how to be inclusive, positive leaders within our school community.
The week also included a planning day with our Assistant Principal, where students collaborated to design exciting initiatives focused on boosting student participation, school spirit, and pride across the college.
It was especially lovely to reconnect with two past College Captains, Mila and Riley, who are now mentors at YLead events. This truly speaks to the strong legacy of leadership and student empowerment that SCSC continues to foster in its students.
