Term 3 Concludes

Sally’s Shell-tacular Show!

Last week we were blown away by the talent and expertise that our Stage 3 students brought to the stage in our annual Junior School production of “Sally Sells Seashells”. This event is a highlight on the school calendar and is an experience that brings joy and excitement to all involved. We were all thoroughly entertained by the Year 3 and Year 4 Rapping Grannies who opened our Thursday performances. The evening was a testament to the effort and hard work of our teaching staff and their ongoing pursuit of excellence in all that we do at Kinross Wolaroi.

On the evening, we proudly supported the Uniting Church and Veritas raising $475 to go towards their project to transform its former Sunday school hall into safe, supportive accommodation for individuals and families aged 17–25. This initiative offers young people experiencing homelessness a place to belong, rebuild, and move forward. Thank you for your support!  Our two musical leads, Harry S and Claire G proudly presented this donation to Rev. Cunningham.

Round Square Day

Our Round Square Day today was exceptional and a lesson for all of us on just how skilled our students in Years 5 and 6 are. This experience was developed and led by the students under the guidance of Mr Callaghan from the Senior School, Mr Brown and the Year 6 teachers.

Year 6 planned activities for all year groups.  The activities included:

•Pre-Kinder & Kindergarten: Main Oval Adventure organised by Gordon House

•Years 1 & 2: Ninja Warrior Course organised by Douglas House

•Years 3 & 4: KWS Amazing Race organised by Brown House

•Pre-Kinder-Year 6: Multicultural Food Stalls by McLachlan House

Thank you to all the staff for planning and facilitating a fun and positive event to finish the term.

Technology Showcase

On Thursday 25 September, the Junior School proudly hosted its Term 3 Technology Showcase, featuring creative and innovative work from Kindergarten, Year 2, Year 3, and Year 5 students. Parents and friends attended and were able to explore the showcase and witness the imaginative use of technology across a variety of projects. From digital storytelling and coding to design challenges and interactive displays, students demonstrated their growing confidence and creativity in using technology to express ideas and solve problems. Thank you to all who attended and supported this celebration of learning.

SRC – Buddy Bench Fundraising

This term the Student Representative Council has been exploring the themes of friendship and kindness this term and has chosen to focus on our school value of inclusiveness. To support this, they fundraised for a Buddy Bench—a special seat in the Junior School playground where students can go if they’re feeling unsure or need a friend.

To raise funds, they held a Rainbow Day on the final day of Term 3. Each year group wore a different colour shirt and come together for a whole-school photo in the shape of a rainbow. This colourful celebration did not only promote kindness but also supported Dolly’s Dream, with $25 from each bench donated to this meaningful cause.

Thank you to all the families for your generous support.  We look forward to seeing students embrace this special space in our playground.

As Term 3 ends we reflect on a busy and rewarding few months filled with learning, growth, and community spirit. From classroom achievements to special events like Stage 3 musical and Father’s & Significant Others Day, our students have embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm and kindness.

We wish everyone a safe and restful break and look forward to welcoming students back for an exciting Term 4 on Tuesday 14 October.
