Things to do
While we are still a week away from the break of school routines, as a Mum, I have started thinking about how I can make the most of the change to routines. I appreciate a good list and Nature Play SA have a great list of things to do in Autumn. Here is the link - there are lots of screen free activity options.
Sports Day thank you
Thank you to all of our staff, but particularly Mr Jason Wain for the smooth running of our Sports Day. Congratulations to Pari who are now the team to beat, after winning for a second year in a row. Thank you to the friends and families who came out to support the event on a warm day. We are a reflective team here at Good Shepherd and we are already thinking about how we can provide additional shade and activities to make the day even better into the future.
Learning Conversations
As you prepare to meet with your child's teacher next week at learning conversations, I encourage you to enter these conversations a partner in your child's learning. While I am sure that there will be minimal surprises, we need to remember that parents and staff see the children in different contexts. This time is about sharing an understanding of how the children are here at school and for sharing how they are presenting at home.
As we near the end of a busy term - I pray for rest and courage, knowing that God is walking with us all - assured by Jesus' words in Matthew 28:20b - "And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
Blessings
Evie
