Dear Parents, Carers, and Friends,
As we come to the end of another busy and rewarding term, we take a moment to reflect on the many wonderful events and achievements that have taken place at St Mary of the Angels. Our students, staff, and families have worked together to create a strong, supportive, and faith-filled community, and we are grateful for your ongoing support.
This term, our dedicated staff engaged in Staff Development Days focused on strengthening teamwork and refining our co-teaching strategies. These sessions have enhanced our ability to provide high-quality learning experiences for our students, ensuring that every child receives the best possible support.
We have also been actively involved in data collection through assessments such as Best Start, PM Benchmarking, NAPLAN, and the Year 1 Number Check. These tools help us track student progress and tailor our teaching strategies to meet the needs of each learner.
Our Parent Information Night and Learner-Led Conferences provided valuable opportunities for parents to engage with their child’s learning journey. Personal Plan Meetings ensured that each student’s individual needs were considered and supported.
We also welcomed families to our Welcome Breakfast, a wonderful opportunity to strengthen our school community and build connections.
Students demonstrated great sportsmanship and determination at both our Swimming Carnival and Cross Country Carnival. These events encouraged participation, teamwork, and personal achievement, and we were incredibly proud of all who took part.
Faith remains at the heart of our school community. This term, we celebrated several Masses and participated in meaningful religious observances, including Shrove Tuesday, Ash Wednesday, and activities with Mini Vinnies, where students engaged in acts of service and compassion.
Our students took part in enriching experiences beyond the classroom, including the Stage 1 History Excursion, which brought history to life in an engaging and interactive way.
We were also thrilled to participate in the Guyra Show, a fantastic community event showcasing the talents and efforts of our students in various capacities.
As we move into the next term, we look forward to continuing our journey of faith, learning, and community spirit. Thank you to all our families for your continued support. We wish everyone a restful and joyful break and look forward to another exciting term ahead.
Blessings,
Zoe Nugent
