Springvale Rise Primary School Community Hub
During Week 8, our school commemorated Harmony Week, an annual celebration of Australia's cultural diversity and the positive impact it has on the Australian community. Australia is recognised as one of the most successful multicultural societies globally, and at Springvale Rise Primary School, we take pride in our diverse school community, comprising over 40 different nationalities! We celebrated the day with a school parade, each student showcasing their traditional clothes or the colour of harmony, orange. We had the privilege of enjoying captivating performances by the Chinese Mandoline Dance group, showcasing a lion dance, fan dance, and traditional drumming. Additionally, the talented women from our women's group performed a traditional Cambodian dance at the Springvale Campus, while the women at the Heights Campus presented a traditional giddha dance. A family also delighted us with a traditional Cook Island dance, encouraging students to join in and dance as well. The day concluded with a delightful morning tea at the community hub. It was truly a fantastic day!
This is a friendly reminder that our Hub programs will end this Friday, April 4th, and will resume on Tuesday, April 22nd. We are also excited to invite everyone to our Eid party on Wednesday, April 23rd, from 10am to 12pm at the Springvale Campus. All are welcome, and we are looking forward to seeing you there. Feel free to bring a dish if you woud like!
