Highlights from Heights Campus
This week, students and teachers from both campuses came together at the Heights Campus for an action-packed Kaboom Sports event. The day kicked off with an energetic warm-up, with Mr. Kullar and Mrs. Hall leading the way on the dance floor while the school followed their moves! Laughter and excitement filled the air as students were placed into mixed-age groups, working together to complete a range of engaging and active challenges. It was fantastic to see older students supporting younger ones, offering encouragement, and cheering each other on as they moved through each station.
Our student leaders played a vital role in the day, confidently leading activities and ensuring everyone stayed motivated and involved. With upbeat music setting the tone, students demonstrated our school values; respect, resilience and collaboration while showing excellence by giving their best effort in every challenge. The event was a wonderful display of teamwork, fun and community spirit, making it a truly memorable day for all involved!
Our Veggie Patch is Blooming!
Our school vegetable patch is thriving, with an abundance of fresh herbs including mint, coriander, and parsley ready to be picked. Lush crops of lettuce and rocket are also growing beautifully, providing plenty of produce for our Kitchen Garden program. Students have been enjoying harvesting these ingredients and using them in their cooking sessions. Next term, they are especially excited to pick the carrots—who knows what delicious dishes they will create with them? We can't wait to find out!
Holiday Learning Through Fun!
As the he holidays fast approach there are many opportunities for students to continue learning in fun and engaging ways at home! Students can learn by playing games with friends and siblings or visiting the Springvale Library to borrow books. They can showcase the skills they have learnt in Kitchen classes by cooking at home and practising math skills by measuring and counting ingredients. Simple activities like building with blocks, doing puzzles, or drawing and writing help develop creativity and critical thinking. Have fun!
