This week in Writing we are learning to write an information text

VOCABULARY

Information text: a type of writing that gives you real facts

Diagram: a drawing, photo or plan that shows the parts of something or how the parts work together 

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Have your child draw a picture of an animal of their choosing. Once they have drawn the picture ask them to identify the different body parts of their animal, then get them to write them down.
