School Buddy Program

We are 'buddying' with the Year 5 this year. The buddies met each other for the first time in Week 2, and everyone had a fantastic time! The students introduced themselves and did a range of activities with their buddies, such as drawing, craft, games, reading books. The Grade 1s also wrote a letter to their buddies, letting them know something about themselves. The buddies will be meeting each other every fortnight. 

In the coming buddy session, they will be participating in a Potato Olympics together! 

To get into the Olympics spirit, students have been learning about Olympics in both Reading and Writing. We learnt that the Ancient Olympics started around 3000 years ago, and the Modern Olympic started in 1896. Students made an information booklet about its history, the games in the Olympics, and even pictured themselves as Olympians competing in Brisbane 2032.
