Parents Battle of The Bands
From Penny, Parent/Rock'N'Roll Call member & Patrick, Performing Arts Teacher
On Wednesday night the 31st of July at the Northcote Social Club, our very own NMPS parents’ band, ‘Rock’N’Roll Call’ competed for the first time in the Parents Battle of The Bands event. The band hit the stage first on the evening’s lineup and set the tone with a hard-rocking set of 5 songs, covering artists including Garbage, Pixies, Cheap Trick, Turbonegro and PJ Harvey.
With the proceeds of all ticket sales going to the participating schools, the event sold out very quickly. It was a great community night of rock and roll! Congratulations to the band: Penny, Julian, Erin and Duncan and thanks to Mickey in 2D, Katerina and Tau in 3A for sending their parents out to rock!
Our parents’ band, Rock’N’Roll Call, would like to thank NMPS for their support, and especially to Patrick, Kimalee and Dan (Performing Arts) and all the parents that bought tickets and came along to the event. It was a total blast and we hope to back it up with an even better performance in 2025!
