AGTV GERMAN POETRY COMPETITION REGIONAL FINAL

Last Wednesday, 31st July ten Level 4 – 6 students from Rangeview PS participated in the AGTV German Poetry Competition Regional Final. The regional final was held at Mullauna Secondary College. This was the first time since the COVID pandemic that schools teaching German in our network have physically come together to take part in this annual event.

Students recited their poems in front of two judges and were judged according to their pronunciation, intonation, dictation, and the overall delivery and interpretation of their poem. DID YOU KNOW?

By our German Captains,

Elise & Justin

  • More than 800 million currywurst sausages are eaten every year in Germany. The snack is so popular that there’s even a museum dedicated to it in Berlin.
  • The most famous German food exports are sauerkraut, sausages and pretzels (Brezeln)
  • Most German main dishes include meat and sometimes fish – the most popular kinds are pork, beef, veal or fish

Should you have any queries about how to best support your child’s German language development, we would love to hear from you.
