Principal’s Message

Mrs Claire Ryan

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to Week 3's newsletter.

As we settle into the new term, it’s wonderful to see the enthusiasm and energy in our school community. This was particularly highlighted at our Grandparents' Day celebrations. It was wonderful to see so many parents, grandparents, grandfriends and family members attend the school to celebrate with their children. I trust the visitors enjoyed spending time with the children in their learning environment.

Thank you to our grandparents and grandfriends for the role they play in our students' lives. Here is the video we shared during the Liturgy:

This day also marked another special occasion for our Kindergarten children—100 days of Kindergarten! That means 100 days of learning and fun times at Sacred Heart School.

Throughout the day, Kindergarten completed activities about the number 100, reflected on their 100 days at school, ate the number 100, discussed the likelihood of a particular coloured gumball dropping from the machine of 100 various coloured gumballs, shared fairy bread with 100s and 1000s, received a special 100 days smarter certificate with a treat, and had fun creating memories with our 100th day of school display in the foyer of our school.

We even looked into the future to see what we might look like when we turn 100 years old!

Today, Sacred Heart School will be audited by the Armidale Catholic Schools Office, representing the New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA), as part of our five-year cyclical registration.

This audit is a routine part of our commitment to maintaining high standards and continuous improvement. The audit team will review various aspects of our school, its processes, and our curriculum delivery. We welcome this opportunity to showcase our school's strengths and identify areas for further development.

Wishing everyone a productive and rewarding Week 3!

Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions or concerns.

Warm regards,

Claire Ryan
