4C's Exciting Journey into the Olympics and Beyond!

This term, 4C has been diving deep into the world of the Olympics, embracing the spirit of growth mindsets and learning how many athletes have overcome challenges and adversities. Our students have become young historians and sports analysts, researching and reporting on famous Olympians and pioneering women in sport. Their enthusiasm and dedication to understanding the perseverance and determination of these athletes have been truly inspiring.

To bring the Olympic spirit to life, 4C hosted their very own Vegetable Olympics! Each student decorated a potato athlete, creating a unique and colourful line-up of spud competitors. The potato athletes then participated in a series of fun and creative events, including long jump and shot put. There was lots of laughter and excitement as our students cheered on their potato athletes, showcasing their creativity and sportsmanship.

The Vegetable Olympics was not just about fun; it was a hands-on way for students to apply their learning about the Olympic values of excellence, friendship, and respect. Through this activity, they learned that with a growth mindset, every challenge can be an opportunity to grow and succeed.
