Art

We would like to welcome our new group of Prep - Grade 3 students for Semester 2. We are looking forward to creating with them. Students will be revising colour theory, creating their interpretation of Indigenous message sticks, an Artist study and making either a clay monster or bowl.

Our Grade 4 students will be working on a 3D piece inspired by Pablo Picasso, while Grade 5 students are creating a 3D piece combining their clay clock piece with the influences of the Steampunk genre.

Our Grade 6 students will design and create a tic tac toe board out of clay and also make their matching themed pieces out of Magic clay. They will also begin designing their Street Art influenced surfboard, ready for display at the Grade 6 Graduation at the end of the year.

Our Extended Art class will continue to paint the new Indigenous inspired painting of our community on the wall outside Prep SR. This has been challenging due to weather, but we are hoping to complete it by the end of term or early term 4. It looks wonderful so far and they have worked hard to plan and paint the details to represent our area and some of its geographical features.
