Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

Celebrating 100 Days of Kindergarten

This week, we had the joy of celebrating a significant milestone in our youngest students' educational journey – the 100th day of kindergarten! Our Kindy students have reached this special day with excitement, enthusiasm, and countless achievements.

To celebrate the special occasion, the Kindy classrooms were buzzing with energy and creativity. The children engaged in a variety of activities with their buddies focussing on the number 100, making this day both educational and fun. Our fabulous Kindy teachers organised a series of engaging tasks and projects, ensuring that the celebration was as meaningful as it was enjoyable.

My deepest gratitude to our Kindergarten teachers, Mrs Busseler, Mrs Brady and Miss Keating for their unwavering dedication. Their efforts have created a nurturing and stimulating environment where our students can thrive. Congratulations to our Kindergarten students on reaching this important milestone!

The Importance of Gratitude

Research has shown that practising gratitude on a regular basis enhances our mental and physical well-being. It reduces anxiety, improves sleep and generally brings a great sense of contentment. Practising gratitude helps us to refine what really matters in life and draws us closer as a family.  It shows us that too often we take things for granted, and that our happiest moments are often found in moments of simplicity. Gratitude leads us away from negativity and nurtures self-awareness, harmony and emotional resilience.  Being grateful for something or someone is also a simple form of thanksgiving and a simple way of praising God. It also helps us to be aware of God’s graces and presence in our daily lives.

Whilst sharing a meal, invite every family member to share at least three of the following questions and finish off your mini reflection with a simple thank you prayer:

What was really good today?

What am I thankful for?

What was the best thing I heard today?

What was the best thing I did today for someone else?

What was the best thing someone did for me?

What can I improve tomorrow?

What was the best thing I said to someone today?

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to

order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.
