Last week, our students took part in a wonderful Italian and Music incursion led by Rosa from the Melbourne School of Tarantella. Rosa introduced students to the history and cultural significance of the Tarantella, a traditional Italian folk dance that has been performed for centuries. Through her engaging storytelling and demonstrations, students learned how music, rhythm, and movement are woven together in this vibrant cultural tradition.
Students then had the chance to join in, learning an energetic routine that encouraged teamwork, listening skills, and a willingness to try something new. It was fantastic to see their enthusiasm as they moved to the lively beat and brought the dance to life.
We are grateful to Rosa for sharing her expertise and passion, and we are so proud of how our students embraced this cultural journey, deepening their appreciation of Italian traditions through music and dance.
