Principals Message

Currently, our Stage 6 students are undertaking their Trial HSC Examinations, which will conclude on Friday, 29 August 2025. These exams are being held at the Narrandera Sportsground Clubrooms, and students are giving their best efforts in these important practice assessments ahead of the final HSC.
I wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Imperial Football/Netball Club, as well as to the Narrandera Shire Council, for their generous support in allowing us to use the clubrooms for this exam period. Their community spirit and willingness to assist have ensured our students can undertake these trials in a comfortable, well-equipped environment. This cooperative initiative demonstrates the strength of our local partnerships and the positive impact they have on student learning.
To our Stage 6 students: your dedication during this exam week is commendable. These trials are a vital opportunity to refine your exam strategies, manage time effectively, and identify areas for further revision.
As we approach the conclusion of Term 3, I encourage all students—not just those in Year 12—to maintain momentum in your studies and routines. To our parents and carers, thank you for your continued support in helping our students prepare and thrive during critical assessment periods.
This week we had the great pleasure of welcoming our Year 6 students for their first full day of transition to high school. It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm as they explored the school, met their teachers, and began to form connections with the Narrandera High School community.
The transition from primary to secondary school is one of the most significant milestones in a young person’s educational journey. Providing opportunities for students to familiarise themselves with new routines, expectations, and learning environments helps to reduce anxiety and build confidence. Our aim is to ensure every student feels supported, connected, and excited about beginning their high school journey in 2026.
Days like this do not happen without thoughtful planning and strong commitment from staff. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Mr Kelly, our dedicated Year Advisor, and Mrs Lucas, our Head Teacher Wellbeing, for their outstanding organisation and care in making this transition day such a success. Their efforts ensured that every student felt welcomed and supported, setting the foundation for a smooth and positive start to high school life.
We look forward to welcoming our Year 6 students back for future transition activities as the year continues. I encourage families to share in the excitement, ask questions, and remain engaged as we prepare together for this important next step.
