Music Technology Workshop

This week, students from Stage 4 and Elective Music were given the amazing opportunity to deepen their understanding of electronic music and composing through a hands-on workshop run by Musical Futures. Six different workshops were held across Monday and Tuesday, with students being taught the basics of creating electronic music using our new Roland T-8 Drum Machines, J-6 Chord Synthesizer and E-4 Voice Tweaker. 

Students learnt how to connect their knowledge of the Elements of Music to a practical scenario, through looping, layering, recording and designing unique drum patterns and chord sequences. This new technology will create invaluable opportunities for students to learn about electronic composition and develop skills directly used in professional digital music composition!
