Principal's Report

OH WHAT A NIGHT…
What a fabulous night we had last night. The lights were bright, the music was loud and the children were sensational on stage.
A very big thank you goes to Ms Cathy Ellis for the wonderful vision of ‘Wonka’ and for ensuring that no stone was left unturned to make last night amazing. Ms Ellis has put in countless hours in preparing our concert and showcasing the amazing talent we have here at St Leonard’s.
To the staff, thank you for supporting all the children in their participation in the concert. From rehearsals during the week, to practicing lines and the little pep talk before the performance, you truly made sure everyone was ready to go.
Thank you to our wonderful community for supporting such an event. The turn out last night was exceptional and the support of our school has not gone unnoticed. A special thanks to Melanie, Justin, Lina and Diane for bringing the stage to life!
Finally, to the performers themselves… the show would not have been what it was without our amazing students. Congratulations to the 268 children of St Leonard’s who braved the stage jitters and put on such an incredible performance. It isn’t easy to get onstage in front of over 600 people and perform like they did!
I hope you all had a lovely evening and were as proud of your children as we were!

Our All Star Girls (Talya, Summer, Zara, Ciara, Anabella, Madison, Ariana, Lilian, Michaela D) made it through to the semi-finals; a fantastic effort against strong opponents!
We are especially proud of our All Star Boys team (Oliver P, Eli, Joshua, Marc, Nathan, Lachie, Will & Anthony), who had an exceptional day on the court. Although they missed out on the championship, they showed incredible determination and never gave up until the final siren. Making it that far is something they should be very proud of.
