Catholic Schools Week
What a wonderful celebration we had for Catholic Schools Week! Reflecting on this year’s theme, "Our Hope-Filled Future," it was a beautiful reminder of the incredible potential within our school community and the bright future ahead for all of our children.

Border Sports Athletics 2026
A massive congratulations to all of our young people for their outstanding participation in the Border Sports Athletics carnival last week. It was a spectacular day filled with community spirit, teamwork, and great competition.
Most impressively, we achieved 100% attendance on the day! This incredible community effort directly contributed to us winning the carnival. A special thank you to Emma Moore and the St Joseph's staff for all their hard work and organisation in making it such an incredible day for everyone. Thank you also to all the families for getting behind our children and making this victory possible.
Looking Ahead: Reports and Interviews
As we head into the final weeks of the term, our teachers are busy finalising Semester 1 reports. Please note the key dates ahead:
Week 10: Semester Reports will be released.
Week 11: Parent-Teacher Interviews will take place.
Farewell Miss Bustard
This week, we say a fond farewell to our much loved Miss Georgia Bustard, who has been a wonderful part of our team since 2024.
Throughout her time, Miss Bustard has shown an incredible passion for helping children reach their full potential and nurturing a lifelong love of learning in our young people. Her dedication and warmth will be greatly missed by staff, children, and families alike.
Miss Bustard is moving on to an exciting new role at St Joseph’s in Barraba. While we are sad to see her leave our Mungindi community, we are delighted that she will remain within the Armidale Catholic Schools diocese. We wish you all the very best for your future Miss Bustard.
Wii Gaay Learning Hub 2026
Congratulations to our very own Mr. Peter Prince, who has been selected as a facilitator for the upcoming Wii Gaay Learning Hub. From June 15–19, Mr. Prince will head to Bonville, Coffs Harbour, to help lead learning for 31 children and 20 staff from across the Armidale Catholic Schools diocese. As ‘Authors in Residence’, he will guide our 'Clever Children' through On-Country experiences and their year-long project, '50 Pages of Deadly' (exploring the NAIDOC theme ‘50 Years of Deadly’).
During Mr. Prince's absence, we warmly welcome Mrs. Jenny Roff to St Joseph's to lead learning for Year 4/5/6.
Have a wonderful week!
