Open Night

Thursday March 21st, we held our annual Open Night to showcase the best of Thornbury High for prospective students and their families.

The night was a big success, with nearly 400 visitors attending across the evening. Across the Sports & Performing Arts Centre, Year 7 Centre and our new STEAM Centre, prospective families learnt about: who we are and what we value as a school;

how we connect as a school community, with a particular focus on the important transition into Yr 7; and the engaging programs offered across our various faculties that support our students to achieve in all facets of school life.

Events like these can only be a success due to the efforts of the many staff and students involved in the lead up to, during and following the event. We had 77 amazing students help across the evening, and a wide range of staff involved who demonstrated the commitment and energy that typifies the Thornbury community.

My sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to another fantastic Open Night, and we look forward to further opportunities to welcome new and prospective families to Thornbury High School.
