Talofa lava, Bula Vinaka, Malo e lelei, Kia Orana, Kia Ora tatou, Greetings,

Seed 2 Harvest is a not-for-profit organisation situated in a prime position at the Waitemata Rugby Football Club since March 2023. Seed 2 Harvest has been established since 2010.

Due to limited funding, we are calling on all organisations to support our FOOD DRIVE each month with this being MARCH MADNESS. Canned food, pasta, rice, soya sauce, oil, cereal, condiments, all food items that you can offer. This is a great opportunity for your schools, classrooms, and businesses to come together and be part of a great cause to help struggling families who need that extra helping hand to get back on their feet.

Our vision is to explore the vᾱ (space) that is relational, where people are empowered and equipped with tools that support wholeness, well-being, leadership and sustainable living. Our mission is to achieve this through principles informed by Indigenous Knowledge and Community Development principles that serve local (Aotearoa) and global assignments through networking and operating from multi-S2H Innovation hubs.

At Seed 2 Harvest, we offer well-being programmes, Facilitation, Pacific Coaching (one-on-one), Sports Chaplaincy, Pastoral Care, facility Hire, and Food support to families in need.

We would love to show you our premises, food hub, re-established kai mᾱra and, have a conversation on who we are and how we can work together, alternatively if you have a time for me to come and share with you, that would be amazing.

We look forward to hearing from you. Together, we CAN make a difference!

The target age for the workshops is 8 to 18. Our website is www.imagen8.co.nz.

We hope to see some of the Western Heights students at our Lake Panorama workshop!

Kind regards

Julie Bassett

Western Heights children love a good wero/challenge, and a reading challenge is even better! Each student in our kura/school has a Hell's Pizza wheel which records when they have read seven books. Once they achieve this challenge, they can redeem their pizza wheel at Hell's Pizza for a free 333 kids pizza.

Western Heights and World Vision

Western Heights partners with World Vision to help make a positive impact on communities in need. Every Friday, we collect any spare coins as a donation to the children we sponsor. World Vision focuses on helping children and families by providing essentials like education, healthcare, and clean water.

Sunhats:

Sunhats must be worn in terms one and four.

We provide every child with a new sunhat on enrollment and do our best to support our children, NOT to lose them.

We ask that these hats be kept at school so that we know our children are sunsafe.

If your child loses their sunhat, it now costs $10 to replace it. This is still $5 LESS than it costs us to buy the hat. We are keeping costs down as much as possible to support parents and to ensure the vital need for sun protection is met.
