Principals Message

Dear parents and carers,

Thank you to those who were able to be part of the audience at our Holy Week Reflection gatherings. Holy Week holds importance as a time for learning, reflection, community-building and cultural appreciation. We have students from many walks of life and for many the events of Holy Week raise a number of questions. I have spent some time this term in Year 1 teaching religion and the interest and conversations have been wonderful.

Lent provides an opportune time for us to engage students in acts of charity and service, fostering a spirit of giving and solidarity within our school and beyond. These efforts not only benefit the recipients of the donations but also empower students to make a positive difference in the world. A great example has been the fundraising aspect of Lent which culminated in the drawing of the Easter Egg Raffle today.

Easter brings a message of hope and assurance to believers, reminding us of God's faithfulness and promises. The resurrection of Jesus serves as a powerful reminder that nothing is impossible with God and that He is always with His people, even in times of difficulty or uncertainty.

All around us there are people, some of whom we know personally, who are suffering. I hope at Easter we can all spare a thought for those who may not experience the same love and joy as many of us will.

Whatever you do over the break I wish you the best and hope that all our families get some time to reflect on the meaning of Easter and share some special time with loved ones.
