2024 College Contributions

THANK YOU to all families who have already fully paid or who have committed to Recurring Contributions (Payment Plan) to cover their child’s/children 2024 College Contributions. Your support of these Contributions is greatly appreciated. Contributions will sit in your Compass Parent Payment Portal and you can make a ‘one-off’ payment or smaller instalments if you choose.

The ongoing financial support of our families ensures that our school can offer the best possible education and support for our students. All contributions make a huge difference to our school and the programs we can offer.

Extra-Curricular Items & Activities (user-pays) includes the Sports Academy, Instrumental Music, Camps, Excursions ‘any item or activity that are above and beyond what the school provides free to deliver the Curriculum’. For further information on the Department’s Parent Payments Policy please visit: 2024 Parent Payment Policy

The College understands that families may experience financial difficulties or hardship at times. If you have any questions regarding Recurring Contributions or other fee related enquiries, Sandra Nebl can be contacted in person at the Main Administration Office, via email at sandra.nebl@education.vic.gov.au or by telephoning 9871 4888 on a Monday, Tuesday or Thursday.

Camps / Sports / Excursions Fund (CSEF)

CSEF is provided by the Victorian Government to assist eligible families to cover the costs of school trips, camps, and sporting activities. The allowance of $250 is assessed and paid to the school on a yearly basis and is dependent on eligibility.

If your child/children received CSEF in 2023 at Heathmont College, the school will automatically apply on your behalf. If you are new to the College or are recently new to receiving a Health Care Card or similar, and haven’t already submitted your form, please contact the school office to obtain a CSEF application form or Click HERE. The cut-off date for 2024 applications is the end of Term 2. Please note that for students in Year 7, 2024 the $250 funding will be allocated to their Camp remaining charge.

2024 Instrumental Music Program

Thank you for your support of the 2024 Instrumental Music Program. Instrumental Music remains an opt-in, extra-curricular program, provided by the college and as such, attracts a compulsory charge. Click HERE to access the 2024 Instrumental Music Handbook & Enrolment form.

Facilities – Student Lockers

All students at Heathmont College have access to a locker.  This is to ensure they have a space for their backpacks, books and electronic devices.

Please speak to your child regarding responsibility of their property with the understanding if items are stolen then you as a parent/carer will have to replace them. Second-hand locks ($10) are available for purchase at the office.

Compass

A reminder that you can download the Compass app from Google Play or the App Store™.   Chose Heathmont College from the dropdown list and enter your unique login details. Visit compass.education/guide -support to access the Compass online parent guide with step-by-step instructions on how to use Compass and the Compass app.

Compass Events

Please check your Compass Parent Portal at least twice a week for upcoming Incursion, Excursion and Sporting Events as cut-off dates for Consent and or Payments will be strictly enforced. A tight turnaround is required due to transport requirements, attendance limits, first aid packs to be organised etc. The re-opening of Events after the cut-off date is not best practice and will only be done in exceptional circumstances.

Compass Attendance

If your student is going to be late for school, please add an ‘Attendance Note’ in Compass. You can use the drop-down for the reason and add the applicable start time. Students are required to sign in at the office when arriving late to school. If your student is leaving during the day for an appointment, you can also use the above method and add the actual time away from school.

Student ID Cards and College Photos

Students in Years 8-12 should be using their 2023 Compass Cards (valid until the end of April 2024 or until their new card arrives, whichever comes first. Photos for Cards will be taken on Monday 12 February.
