Amelia in the Melbourne Comedy Festival!
Staff member Amelia Vance will be performing as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival over these school holidays.
When not social-working in the Wellbeing and Diversity Inclusion teams, Amelia loves improvising... especially musical improvising!
Amelia is a cast member of Impromptunes, Australia's leading musical improv comedy troupe. They get a title from the audience of a musical that has never existed before (and will never exist again) then present that show, making everything up on the spot: the music, the songs, the dialogue, the jokes, the characters and the dancing... everything!
You can see Amelia in Impromptunes on the following show nights:
Thurs 4th, Fri 5th, Tues 9th, Wed 10th, Thurs 11th, Sat 13th and Sun 14th of April
Impromptunes: The Completely Improvised Musical
Running 28th March – 22nd April at ACMI, Fed Square
9pm (8pm Sundays, no show Monday)
Then, for the younger audiences, Amelia will also be performing an improvised children's pantomime called Story Soup with Playhouse Pantomimes, making up a musical panto completely on the spot, using suggestions from the audience!
You can see Amelia in Story Soup during the following show dates:
Fri 29th, Sat 31st, Thurs 4th, Fri 5th, Sun 7th, Thurs 11th, Fri 12th, and Sun 14th
